THE SCÉAL COLLECTIVE

SCÉAL:  SUSTAINING CREATIVE ECOLOGY ARTS & LIVING

scéal is an arts collective comprising of creative people from all disciplines from visual arts to music and everything in between, an underground arts movement that started as a way to help make Balbriggan a Destination for the Arts.  The collective has put on many creative events and exhibitions and works with organisations on a variety of projects to engage communities and people in ways the might not have imagined on their own.

scéal was formed in The Warehouse to help coordinate the collection of the equipment, materials and artwork from the Culture Night event in 2022.

The group grew organically across all artistic disciplines and all levels of talent agreeing to collaborate from people with community arts experience all the way to professional artists and musicians, sharing the same space.  In 2024, the group registered as a CLG.

scéal has also collaborated with and been supported by Fingal County Council, Creative Ireland, the Arts Council, and Research Ireland on various initiatives.
